The EXO system is a modular system that allows you to customize how it's set up. With this particular configuration, we have the gear locker and the SkinnyWarrior with the top shelf attachment, but you can configure it with a lot of different accessories. And what that means for you with your Explorer, it's gonna allow you to increase your cargo area to get those bigger, bulkier things out for your adventure. As you can see, this is a pretty massive setup, but the benefit of that, it gives you a lot of flexibility. So with your SkinnyWarrior basket at the bottom, it also is an attachment that allow you to use it as a cart, and it's gonna give you 110 pounds of capacity to stow away. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Yakima EXO system, outfitted today with the GearLocker and GearWarrior on our 2022 Nissan Armada. The EXO system is a modular system that's gonna allow you to customize your setup to how you need it. In this particular example, we have a cargo basket and a cargo box with a locking lid. Essentially the reason you would want a kit like this, or in general with the Armada, it's a large vehicle, but it's mostly focused on moving passengers, so it puts cargo space at a premium. With a kit like this along with a roof rack, you can maximize the amount of gear you can bring along for your journey. Our GearWarrior Cargo basket is made of powder-coated steel to give you a nice rugged exterior to hold up against the elements on your journey. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer hitch-mounted cargo carrier and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2024 Honda CR-V. Now whether you're running short on space on the inside of your CR-V and you're taking a road trip and you need somewhere to put everyone's luggage or camp supplies, or maybe you're just going to the hardware store, picking up bags of mulch, concrete, soil, things that tend to rip and make a mess inside the vehicle, in my opinion, are better kept outside because this is a lot easier to clean off than vacuuming out the carpet inside the cargo area. Regardless of what the reason is, a cargo carrier is a great way to just expand the space that your vehicle has. And I like the hitch-mounted carriers because, one, you're gonna get better weight capacity, and two, they're easier to reach than something on the roof. Now the weight capacity here is gonna be 500 pounds evenly distributed throughout the carrier. more

Now, in general, cargo carriers are a great way to expand the cargo space of your vehicle. If your CR-V doesn't have enough room inside, you can always add to it on the hitch, or let's say you've got messy stuff that you never wanna bring inside the vehicle to begin with. Think like trips to the hardware store, bags of mulch, concrete, things that tend to rip and make a mess. It's a lot easier to keep it out here, and by attaching to the hitch, it's gonna be easier to reach, and generally give you much better weight capacities than something like a rooftop carrier. Adding a cargo basket to your hitch is gonna help resolve the issue of having limited cargo space. When you have a vehicle like the Tucson, you only have so much area for those bigger, bulkier items, and this is gonna allow you to get those out on the journey with you, as well as getting those dirtier, more cruddy things that you don't necessarily want inside your vehicle. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods wheelchair and scooter carrier on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Clearly, if you're lookin' at a scooter or a wheelchair carrier, it's to carrier scooter or wheelchair. Beyond that, you can actually get additional use for it as a cargo carrier to carry those bigger, bulkier items that don't necessarily fit into your cargo space. Another really great thing that it can work with is those heavy generators or pressure washers, those items that are on wheels to wheel up onto the back of your Tucson. Our carrier is a folding carrier and it is designed to fold up to stow away when you're not carrying your chair, scooter, or cargo. However, on the Tucson, with our etrailer hitch installed, you just don't have the clearance to fold up the the carrier without making contact to the vehicle, it's just not space for it. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the hitch mounted aluminum cargo basket from Flint Hill Goods on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a cargo basket to your receiver hitch has its own benefits similar to adding a cargo box to the roof of your vehicle. With the Tucson, you're pretty limited as far as your cargo space, and with those bigger, bulkier items, this is gonna allow you to have that additional flexibility. So your heavier items that you wouldn't wanna hoist on top of the vehicle, you'd be able to put into your cargo basket on your hitch, and things that you wouldn't want exposed directly to the elements, you can put into a cargo box on your rooftop. Our Curt basket is a powder-coated steel construction. It's gonna help you against corrosion and just wear and tear on the road. The bottom features a mesh that's gonna work if you have finer items that could possibly slip through, and you have good tie down points using the actual top tubing versus the side panels here. That's more for stability versus actually, security for tying down. The Curt cargo basket is a really great option to increase your cargo area that you can carry in your Armada. more

Going with a cargo basket is an easy way to increase the amount of cargo you can bring along for your journey. With compact SUVs like the Sportage, cargo space is at a premium, so this is gonna allow you to get your bigger bulkier items outside of the vehicle to increase how many things you can bring with you. Our carrier is constructed of powder coated stainless and you're gonna have reflector tape on both sides to help increase your visibility. Along the sides, you actually have nice tubular steel that's gonna give you solid tie-down points for your ratchet straps and bungee cords. And at the bottom you have this mesh floor and what that's gonna do for you is help contain those smaller, more fine items. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Basket on the back of our 2023 Kia Sportage. What a cargo basket is gonna do for you, especially in a vehicle that's more like one of these compact SUVs, it's gonna allow you to get an increase on your capacity for cargo. You can have a space for those bigger, bulkier items or those heavier dirty items that you just don't want to get in the interior of your vehicle. Our carrier is constructed of extruded aluminum, which is gonna give you a lot more stability as far as the pressures of being on the road and holding your gear. On the back here, you can see that you have two additional reflectors that are gonna help you keep your visibility up and a nice solid post along the sides to tie down if you have any things like ratchet straps or bungee cords. The bottom of your tray is pretty open, so if you have some smaller, finer items, you may want to use a cargo bag or look for an option that has more of a mesh bottom to it. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have our Inno Quick Base system for your two inch hitch receiver. Today we have a kit with a gear carrier, six cubic feet cargo box mounted to our Quick Base tray. This configuration is gonna be a very fast way for adding cargo space, but also if you're the type of person that wants your cargo with you wherever you go, this is just gonna be like an oversized suitcase mounted to your hitch. Today we are focusing on how it fits on our Kia Seltos here though. So some things to note is it does sit slightly close to the ground, so you do have to be mindful of ground clearance. But a good thing is that you have a lot of clearance for your vehicle. more

With the Armada focus mostly being on passengers and having a limited amount of cargo space, a cargo basket is a great option to increase that. Now, as for what this can carry, this is gonna be able to carry up to 500 pounds, but I still recommend checking what the tongue weight of your RV is. As for the dimensions of what it can carry for the length, that's gonna be a little bit over 21 inches. The width is gonna be a little bit over 48 inches. And as for the height, that's gonna be a little bit over two inches. more

So, the EXO System is awesome because it allows you to customize your setup for whatever you're doing. In this particular configuration, we have it for more of a cargo setup where we have the GearLocker at the bottom and the GearWarrior cargo basket on the top. What that does for you, it's gonna allow you to increase the amount of cargo you can carry with you when you're going out on your adventures. So, you know, with the Tacoma, it's the shorter bed, so you don't have a lot of space. So, it's a easy way to add additional storage area for your trip. more

This type of cargo carrier is gonna be great for you if you have a mobility device, if you have gear with wheels, or you have heavier bulkier items that you may need the team lift up onto the cargo carrier. It's very hefty, right at its 500 pound rating. Super cool as far as the construction of it, where you're gonna have real sturdy tiedown points as well as eye loops on this guy. In the stowed away position with the ramp, you can actually strap it down inside of the carrier or you can store it upright using these clamp system right here and still have the cargo area filled. Pull out your pin, you can remove the bracket on both sides. more

It's lightweight as far as moving it around for storage and in general, it's really solid with that 500 pound weight capacity. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier on the back of our 2018 Honda Odyssey. Our Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier is a really solid constructed aluminum carrier. It's lightweight and corrosion resistant, at the same time being very sturdy, giving you a rating of up to 500 pounds. On the back of our Odyssey, it's minimally intrusive and we'll take a closer look at that. But as far as what you have out the box, you have two reflectors on the rear and you have a nice thick post on the top in order for your tie downs. The slats on the side aren't for tying down, they're just gonna help support the structure of the carrier itself and you have nice, thick bars going to length and width of the carrier, so that's gonna offer a lot of stability for you. more

CURT Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here, with etrailer.com, taking a look at the Curt Folding Cargo Carrier on our 2023 Jeep Wagoner L. Alright, and the Curt Carrier is a folding carrier that gives you a pretty decent size for adding additional space. Let's see, on the inside capacity, we come up to a little bit shy of 19 inches, and as far as the length, we're about 57 and a half, as far as that usable space. From here, the depth from the bottom to the top, is right at six inches. That is gonna give you about 12 inches of space to load upward and still open the hatch with this particular carrier. Also, it'll be about 13 inches as far as the height of your load in the back of your basket, to block your rear view camera and your license plate and a portion of your tail lights. more

Hi Matt with eTrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima EXO Swing Away System on our 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L. Now this's gonna be a great way to get some extra storage out of the back of the Wagoneer. Now we do have a lot of storage back here, but if you plan on taking a longer trip, you have a lot of gear, or have a lot of people with you, you might need a little bit of extra storage. Now let's take a closer look at that swing away feature, since it is one of the biggest features about this. How we're gonna do that is just by twisting this wing nut, and once we loosen this up, we'll be able to pull this pin right next to it, just pulling along like that and then pushing out. And you'll be able to see how far it swings out. more
